St. Stephen ECD & Preschool offers early childhood
education for children ages two and a half through five years in two
settings: a preschool classroom and an Early Childhood Development
(ECD) classroom.
School hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Extended hours are available if needed, simply speak with a teacher to find out more information.

The ECD Room
The ECD Room is an educationally based program that also focuses on
free play, socialization and interaction between children ages 2 ½
through 5. The ECD Room has different equipment and does different
projects and crafts than the preschool. It does, however, support the
Preschool curriculum.
The ECD room is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Monday through Friday. Class times coordinate with preschool class
times. A monthly calendar is given at the beginning of each month, and
you can pick which days you would like to attend. Class size is limited,
and there is a maximum of 1:5 ratio of teachers to students.

The Preschool Room
The
preschool is a curriculum based program that is set up for two age
groups: 3 year olds and 4 year olds. It offers a standardized preschool
program, which utilizes a hands-on learning of developmentally
appropriate activities targeted to individual learning styles.
Your
child must have a birthday before September 1 to qualify for a
particular age group. Children in the preschool program must be
potty-trained, unless an exemption is given by the staff. The 3 year
olds meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, either morning or afternoon, and
closes at 15 students. The 4 year olds meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and
Fridays, either morning or afternoon, and closes at 18 students. All
classes are subject to availability.
