Community Service & Volunteer Opportunities

St. Stephen ECD & Preschool believes in the
importance of community involvement and community relations. We
participate in different outreach programs and support various
organizations that promote education, allergy and asthma support and
research, and children's interests.
We also welcome anyone that is interested in volunteering with us. Whatever your motivation for volunteering, we have many opportunities for you to give back to your community, some of which are listed on this site. If you cannot find anything that suits your skills or interests after reviewing our opportunities, we are more than happy to brainstorm other ways for you to donate your time or efforts to our program.

Our current volunteer opportunities include:
Classroom Volunteers
Volunteers are wanted to interact with students in the classrooms
through story time, arts & crafts and specialized activities*
Event Planning
St. Stephen Preschool hosts two annual events: the Fun Run
in September and Allertini Affair in May. Volunteers are needed to help plan
& organize these events throughout the year.
Specialized Activities
Volunteers would lead specialized activities (i.e. dance,
exercise, music, nutrition, therapies) appropriate for children age 2-5 years*
Development
Volunteers would assist in the development department of the
preschool working on grant writing, marketing, fundraising and general
development of the preschool.
Nutrition
Volunteers are welcome to evaluate & advise regarding
the nutrition of our preschool.
One-time volunteers
One-time volunteers are needed at special events, such as the Fun Run & Allertini Affair, as well as for projects such as: general contracting/building repair, landscaping and minor electrical repair

*All volunteers working directly with students must have a current background check from the State of Missouri.
